Tyler's Biography

Tyler Andrew: Ministry Assistant: Pastoral
What do you do at Main Street?
My job at Main Street is to help the pastors, usually Robert and Wayne, do their job as efficiently and effectively as possible. I take on projects to help minimize their time doing office work so they can be where they are called to be. From Graphic Design to sorting mail, this church knows how to keep me busy.

Tell me about your family?
I am very blessed to have a loving family, which, mostly resides here in Northern Kentucky. My father and step-mother live in Warsaw. My mother and younger sister are both in Boone County. I have one grandmother still alive, whom I LOVE visiting (mostly because of her cooking!). Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins in the area, I have plenty of relatives to keep things interesting.

What is your background?
Born and raised in Union, KY, I graduated from Ryle High School in 1999. Later that fall I left for Bowling Green, KY to attend Western Kentucky University. Starting as an undelared student, I quickly got involved in the music department at WKU and graduated with a Music Education degree. Soon after I started teaching in the Simpson County School District, in Southern Kentucky, but it wasn’t long before God started opening other doors. I made a leap and took a youth pastor position in the spring of 2005 at a church in Palm Springs, CA. I lived in Southern California for over 3 years before God led me back to my “Old Kentucky Home.” I have been serving at Main Street since my return in July of 2008.

What do you love best about Main Street?
Two things impress me about Main Street. How they care for people and how intentional they are about being a Christ-centered church.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love music. Whether I am playing an instrument or going to a concert, if it involves music, I am there. I also like sports, board games, and the occasional road trip. I also probably spend too much time on Facebook.
