1st - 4th Grades
Gospel Project for Kids
Small groups for grade school children meet at 9:30am on Sunday mornings. Children register in Kid's Avenue and then go to the age-appropriate small groups for introductory activities. Then they meet together for a time of worship and Bible study followed by application activities in small groups.
Main Street children are studying the Bible chronologically using the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum. This three-year curriculum begins in Genesis and works its way to the Revelation. One of the most exciting elements of this curriculum is that it teaches children that the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story of God's plan to redeem the world by His Son, Jesus. Each week, parents are encouraged to reinforce the lesson using activity sheets and Big Picture cards.
Guests should check in at the Kid’s Avenue desk to make sure we have the information we need to properly care for your children. The Kid’s Avenue desk is located at the north end of the building, opposite the sanctuary.
On Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm, Main Street kids (ages three to fourth grade) participate in AWANA, a ministry that disciples children through Scripture memory. This program partners with parents to guide children to understand the gospel, grow their faith in Jesus Christ and train them to serve God throughout their lives. Three and four-year-olds hear Bible stories and learn simple Bible verses to help them grow in their knowledge of God. Kindergartner-4th grade children participate in handbook time, game time, and large group Bible study. The children are also introduced to missions through interaction with missionaries and the opportunity to participate in outreach activities such as Operation Christmas Child, Christmas gifts for the CARE Mission, and treats for the downtown Cincinnati ministry.
